我知道不只是我多心。
I know I am not just oversensitive.
最近每一次與年青人談天，總是嗅到那濃濃的憂鬱味道。好奇的我細問之下，往往便翻開了他生命裡痛苦的一頁。每一個故事都不同，但每一個故事都是那樣的痛。我不能忘記她那淡淡然訴說著自家的痛卻仿似麻木的聲音，也不能忘記他緊握著我的手，在嗚咽中吐出一字一字生活的艱難。我不禁問，怎麼忽然間彷彿每個人都步進了生命的黑暗幽谷？
Recently, every time when I talk to young people, I recognize that familiar smell of depression in the air. A chat with them is like flipping open a storybook filled with pain. Every story is unique yet identically painful. I cannot forget her emotionless voice when she talked about her broken family that have caused her so much pain. I also cannot forget how shaky his hands were when he uttered word by word his wounds from the crushing pressure in life. I cannot help but ask, why it seems like everyone suddenly falls to the dark valley of life?
或許我不應該覺得驚奇。不斷上升的離婚數字、越來越難的學業環境、日趨開放的感情和性關係... 怎能不叫年輕人傷痕纍纍，自殺自殘的數字不斷上升？
Maybe I should not be surprised. The rising number of divorce cases, the increasingly difficult academic environment, the progressively casual take on relationship and sex... How can these not result in a wounded generation who witnesses unprecedented number of suicide and self-harming?
我看到這些年青人生命裡多姿多采的可能性，他們無限的潛質正待發展。但生命中無法處理的痛與破碎，叫他們只能苦苦掙扎，蹣跚而行。他們需要有專業的輔導員幫助他們，再加上不離不棄的同行者，才能走出生命的幽谷，發揮年青人應有的光彩。但可惜，不是每個負傷的年青人都能獲得這樣的幫助。
I see the unlimited possibilities in the lives of these fine young people. Their potentials await opportunities to be developed. Yet the unresolved pain and brokenness in their lives cripple them. They desperately need help from professional counsellor and dedicated advocate/companion to walk out from darkness and restore their original brilliance. But unfortunately, not every wounded youth can access such help.
我不能忘記阿儀（化名）的故事。阿儀因為自少與母親的關係惡劣，形成了她的同性戀傾向。她深受困擾，終於鼓起勇氣向我們求助。我們建議阿儀接受專業輔導，也願意為她介紹和轉介，但她負擔不起差不多$100一小時的輔導費用。雖然家裡經濟狀況良好，但是因為不能讓家裡知道她的問題，所以不能向家裡要錢；自己打工的收入卻不夠她負擔高昂的專業輔導費用。結果，她只能繼續活在困擾當中，無論學業、人際關係和屬靈生命都受到嚴重影響。
I cannot forget the story of Jane (name altered). Because of her poor relationship with her mother, Jane developed a tendency for homosexuality. She was very disturbed and finally gathered all her courage to seek help from us. We recommended to her professional counselling service and were ready to refer her to trustworthy counsellor, but she could not afford the high counselling fee of close to $100 per hour. Even though her family was affluent, she could not request financial support from her family in this case because she could not disclose her case to her mother. Her limited income from working part-time could not support her through the counselling process either. In the end, she could only continue to live in frustration. Her academic pursuit, relational life and spirituality were all heavily compromised.
因為阿儀的故事，令我想到那許多在同樣困境中無助的年青人。為了下一代的將來，我們決定成立離疤計劃Paratrekker Project。
The story of Jane is not unique among young people nowadays. For the future of this generation, we at AFC decided to launch the Paratrekker Project.
The Paratrekker Project provides support through grant, referral and companionship to those young people who need professional counseling help but lack financial resources.
當年青人來向我們尋求幫助，我們會先與他會面，簡單地了解狀況和確定他符合申請資格後，便會因應個別情況將他轉介給不同的基督徒專業輔導員。在整個治療的過程中，我們將會與他保持聯絡，在他掙扎和灰心的時候給予支持和鼓勵。同時，我們也會與輔導員有適當的聯繫和溝通，以致我們可以更有效地配合和給予援助。
When someone comes to us for help, we will first meet with him/her to have a brief understanding of the situation and determine his/her eligibility. After taking each individual circumstances into account, we will refer him/her to one of the Christian professional counselor in our network. Throughout the treatment process, we will be in touch with him/her to give support and encouragement, especially at times of his/her struggles and frustration. At the same time, we will communicate with the counselor with his/her consent, so that the support and companionship we provide can be most adequate and effective.
這些年青人的生命需要被扭轉，他們的傷口需要被醫治。每一個生命在神的眼中都是看為寶貴的。我們值得花時間和金錢去幫助他們去擁有一個更精彩、更可愛、更豐盛的生命。
Every heart and soul is the apple of God’s eyes. He loves these young people. God want their lives to be changed and restored, and their wounds to be healed. Your contribution of time and money bring about an exciting and fruitful life in ways you can never imagine. With your help, these young souls can be restored to a wonderful, lovely, and abundant life.
「[耶穌]來是要叫人得生命，並且得的更豐盛」從來也不應該只是一句琅琅上口的金句，而是一個確實能夠為生命帶來改變的應許。這些年青人生命的改變需要你和我的參與，讓我們攜手為這些破碎的生命燃點一絲希望。在這崎嶇而漫長的成長路上，你和我的信任和支持便是驅使他們向前走的力量。
“[Jesus] came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” This is an everlasting promise God has made with humanity and is something you and I can take part in to make it come true. Just as plants grow when nurtured by sunlight and water, lives transform when nurtured with love and care, something you and I as a community can give to these young people. The road to maturity is full of pricks and thorns, and our love and support is the fuel that keep these young lives propelling towards a live of freedom.
希望你能用心去感受他們的痛，恆切地為他們禱告，適時地給他們一個擁抱，用行動來告訴他們這路雖苦但並不孤單。我們亦誠意邀請你透過贊助今年的「敢攀逆旅」行山籌款日活動來支持離疤計劃，好讓這些年青人的生命能夠有機會重回正軌，在主裡再次成為完全。
