How to get sponsors

  1. After receiving your individual Donation Package, fill out completely your personal information at the top of the Donation Form, and the Disclaimer and Release section at the bottom of the opposite page.
  2. Organize a team meet and strategically set a target goal. Without a target, the team has nothing to drive towards. Then make a strategic plan on how the team can achieve the target donation goal: 
    1. make a list of all possible donors, 
    2. identify the best means of contact, 
    3. set milestones and timeline. 
      • Then assign each member specific donors to approach to avoid having multiple team members approaching the same person for donation.
    1. During the course of your endeavor, potential donors may inquire about various ministries of AFC and your involvement in such. Included in your Donation Package are materials for you to familiarize yourself with AFC ministry. It is wise to read over these pamphlets and brochures ahead of time.
    2. When a person makes a donation, in one section of the Donation Form, fill in the sponsor’s complete contact information, including the amount received in cash or cheque. (use the included example in the first section)
    3. All cheques are to be made out to “AFC” or “Ambassadors For Christ in Canada”
    4. After all information is filled out, tear off the numbered stub to the right of the sponsor's name and give it to the donor as a temporary receipt. All donation above $20 CDN will receive an official receipt in the mail by the beginning next year. (Mailing address must be included in the form for tax receipt to be mailed.)
    5. When you have use up all available space on one Donation Form, seal all collected cash and cheques with the corresponding Donation Form in the package. You can then request another Donation Package to continue your endeavor, but DO NOT make photocopies of the form yourself.  Approach your team leader or stop by at AFC Student Center for another package. With all additional package(s), simply fill out essential information, i.e.: name and contact number.
    6. Return ALL Donation Package, both used and unused, to AFC Student Center no later than June 19, 2010.
